The Misk Art Institute in Riyadh has extended an invitation to 8/23 Design Studio to participate in a design competition that involves an exhibition of street art and a market space. The approach used for this project is rooted in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's heritage, but presented in a contemporary manner. To achieve this, modular arches with perforated patterned screens have been incorporated, drawing inspiration from the traditional "Al Sadu" pattern. Furthermore, these arches have been designed to be assembled with ease in various locations, making use of lightweight materials that are environmentally sustainable.
