Nestled in the heart of Rub Al Khali, the Shaybah Wildlife Sanctuary spans across 637 square kilometers and stands as a distinctive environmental treasure that has recently been rejuvenated. The sanctuary's remarkable biodiversity was perilously close to being extinct, but thanks to Saudi Aramco's new initiatives, the sanctuary's future is now secured. To realize their commitment, Shaybah Wildlife Sanctuary outlined four critical objectives - restoration, protection, research, and education. The Shaybah Visitors Center acts as a crucial component to accomplish these objectives. This Center hosts an array of important visitors, including dignitaries and academics, and serves as a central hub for showcasing the sanctuary's achievements and missions. For the Center to fulfill its full potential and increase community engagement, a renovation of the building is necessary. The renovation will help showcase the diverse and endangered flora and fauna found in the sanctuary. For the first time in many years, animals like the Arabian oryx, Arabian sand gazelles, and ostriches roam the eastern Rub' Al Khali, thanks to the conservation efforts of Shaybah Wildlife Sanctuary.
